Theater Accountant

Job Description

Part-Time

Reporting to the General Manager, and under direct supervision, the Theater Accountant is responsible for day-to-day Fiscal Management of the theater.  Start date: March 1, 2024

 

Job Duties include, but are not limited to:

 

Full Charge Bookkeeper

  • Maintaining Chart of Accounts, accurate tracking of all income and expenses.

  • Monthly Bank Reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries.

  • Record keeping.

  • Pay bills on time.

  • Make sure Accounts Payables and Account Receivables are up to date and accurate.

 

General Management

  • Monitor and keep current all theater annual budgets.

  • Prepare Board reports as requested.

  • Preparation for the annual Independent Auditors Review.

 

Artists and Staff Payroll

  • Maintain secure confidential employee files.

  • Bi-weekly payroll submission to CSC Paymaster.

  • Timely filing and paying of taxes: federal, state, local.

  • All reports as required.

  • Workers compensation audit.

  • Other duties as requested.

 

Desired Skills and Qualifications include:

- Minimum 6 years bookkeeping experience.

- Quickbooks Online, Microsoft Word, Excel, required. Nonprofit experience preferred.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to work independently and to collaborate as part of a dynamic team.
