Theater Accountant
Job Description
Part-Time
Reporting to the General Manager, and under direct supervision, the Theater Accountant is responsible for day-to-day Fiscal Management of the theater. Start date: March 1, 2024
Job Duties include, but are not limited to:
Full Charge Bookkeeper

Maintaining Chart of Accounts, accurate tracking of all income and expenses.

Monthly Bank Reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries.

Record keeping.

Pay bills on time.

Make sure Accounts Payables and Account Receivables are up to date and accurate.
General Management
-
Monitor and keep current all theater annual budgets.

Prepare Board reports as requested.

Preparation for the annual Independent Auditors Review.
Artists and Staff Payroll

Maintain secure confidential employee files.
-
Bi-weekly payroll submission to CSC Paymaster.

Timely filing and paying of taxes: federal, state, local.

All reports as required.

Workers compensation audit.

Other duties as requested.
Desired Skills and Qualifications include:
- Minimum 6 years bookkeeping experience.
- Quickbooks Online, Microsoft Word, Excel, required. Nonprofit experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and to collaborate as part of a dynamic team.
