Auditions
We’re looking for people who are passionate about acting and able to bring a character to life at any time of the year.
Do you have talent for acting and are you looking for an opportunity to shine?
Teatro ECAS is continually seeking actors for both female and male roles. The ability to read and speak Spanish correctly is required.
Please send a photo (headshot) and résumé year-round.
Send to: communications@teatroecas.org with the phrase “Audition Photo and Résumé + Your full name” in the subject line.
Actors are required to present authorization documents to work in the United States upon receiving an offer for a role.
Teatro ECAS will keep your photo and résumé on file and will contact you if you are selected for a role in a production. We appreciate you resending your information if your address or phone number changes.
Teaching Artist
Teatro ECAS is seeking dynamic, passionate Latiné Teaching Artists to lead engaging arts residencies in schools and after-school programs.
You do not need to be a trained theatre artist to thrive in this role.
We warmly welcome musicians, dancers, movement teachers, storytellers, spoken word artists, facilitators, culture bearers, and creatives of all kinds who feel comfortable leading young people in expressive, performance-based learning.
For many students, you will be their first experience with the performing arts. Your role is to build confidence, creativity, collaboration, and joy through movement, voice, storytelling, improvisation, rhythm, and ensemble activities — across students’ native and learned
languages.
You may work with elementary, middle, and high school students, depending on site placement.

Here we answer the most common questions to make your application process and participation in our auditions easier.
What are the requirements to apply for a position?
Each audition lists the requirements for the role, but in general, we’re looking for people who are committed to Spanish-language theatre and available for the listed dates.
¿How can I sign-up for an audition?
You must complete the online form available on our website and submit the requested materials before the deadline listed in each call for auditions.
Is prior theatre experience necessary to apply?
It’s not required, although we do value experience. We also make space for those who want to get started and learn in a professional environment.
What should I prepare for the audition?
Generally, we ask for a monologue in Spanish and a brief personal introduction. The specific details are included in each audition announcement.
When will I hear back after the audition?
We contact those selected within two weeks after the audition to share the results and next steps.
Can I participate in more than one audition or application at the same time?
Yes, you can apply for multiple roles or auditions, as long as you meet the requirements and availability for each one.
